Ferries to Elba Island

The port of Piombino is the starting point for all the ferry connections between the Island of Elba and the mainland. Every day the three shipping companies Moby-Toremar-BluNavy offer different timetables from 5 in the morning until 10.30 in the evening. The average time of the crossing is about one hour, but it is also possible to take a fast hydrofoil which reduces the crossing time to only 35 minutes. For passengers on foot there are never problems of boarding, for cars it is advisable to make the reservation in advance especially during the summer and weekends in order to have the certainty of transport and also to take advantage of discounted rates from companies.
